Cardi B is hours away from triumphantly returning to the stage by opening at the MTV VMAs so it makes sense that she would also drop a new music video on the same day. The rapper has released a visual for "Ring," the Kehlani-assisted single off her debut album Invasion of Privacy. In the visual, the leading ladies start off tangled up in a web of phone cords, but eventually they sort of figure out how to bust out of the booth. It should go without saying that being given permission to hit their lines is an honor that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Last month, MTV revealed that Cardi B was leading the pack with 10 nominations to her name. The VMAs take place tonight at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 9pm ET and can be livestreamed on MTV.com. Watch Cardi B's latest visual masterpiece unfold in the video above.

In other news, 6LACK just dropped a new single called "Nonchalant." Get all the details right here.
