During the Super bowl LII, fans of J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield were gifted with a new teaser for The Cloverfield Paradox, the third installment in the franchise. Packed into a 30-second trailer via Netflix, the new feature is said to start 10 years before the origin of the story, providing context for Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Originally titled "God Particle," the new feature centers on a group of astronauts that deal with mysterious happenings in space while aiming to solve a global energy crisis. After an experience aboard a space station goes wrong, the team must endure a series of consequences.

Directed by Julius Onah, the new film stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Daniel Brühl, David Oyelowo, Chris O'Dowd, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Zhang Ziyi and John Ortiz. For a quick look, check out the first trailer above and the second below.
