Key Pieces: The colorful leather outerwear is the clear standout from Coach’s SS20 collection, paired quite nicely with vintage-inspired graphic styles.

Editor’s Notes: As we continue our coverage of New York Fashion Week, here we showcase Stuart Vevers and Coach‘s SS20 collection, which debuted just last night. The new season marks a transition for Coach, as Vevers’ “prairie” aesthetic is traded in for more street-ready looks.

Coach SS20 is essentially an ode to New York City and the coinciding urgency that is virtually always present in the city. As the show was set outdoors on The High Line near the Coach headquarters, models strutted down the runway in graphic styles paired with colorful leather trench coats and flight jackets.

Vevers and Coach collaborated with pop artist and illustrator Richard Bernstein for the new collection, as portraits of Barbara Streisand, Michael J. Fox, and Rob Lowe decorate crewneck sweatshirts, tank tops, and handbags. And speaking of accessories, Coach debuted vintage-inspired pieces pointing to the label’s archives.

Not NYC, not LA.
