The oft-fantasized battle between UFC fighter Conor McGregor and boxing champ Floyd Mayweather is likely to never happen, but after McGregor's recent win this weekend, Mayweather did what he does best and took to jawing once again.
"I’m an elephant. An elephant don’t beef with ants. An elephant is so large he don’t even see ants," said Floyd during what was a roughly five-minute rant.
Conor seemingly got wind of Mayweather's harsh words once again, as he then proceeded to snatch the mic at New York City nightclub 1 Oak on Tuesday night to say "Floyd's not ready for this. Much respect to Floyd. He's a solid businessman on what he's been able to do, he's a fucking animal at what he's been able to do. But as far as real fighting, as far as true pure unarmed combat, Floyd don't want none of this."
McGregor even went so far as to name a dollar amount that he'd be willing to fight Money Mayweather for.
"He wants a boxing match, he doesn't want a fight," he said. "I want $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules. He's afraid of a real fight."
Again, it will likely never happen, though, seeing as the two champions in their own right fight in two completely different sports. Nonetheless, what will Floyd's response be?
