The Cuphead world is about to get a whole lot bigger. Netflix has announced the smash indie video game is getting an animated comedy series, The Cuphead Show. Details are still scarce, but the game's co-creator Jared Moldenhauer told IGN the series will be "safe for kids, but written so there are also things that adults find funny and appeals to a wider audience." It'll still be drawn by hand, but digitally instead of on paper.

There's still no word on who will play Cuphead or Mughead, and a release date has yet to be announced.

Since launching in 2017, Cuphead has sold more than 4 million copies and been praised by critics. IGN named it the best Xbox One game of 2017.
