Summer is meant to be spent outside at the beach, traveling, and enjoying the warm weather. However, with so many great video games coming out in July, it’s going to be hard to put your controller down.

Kicking off the month, Apex Legends (still our Fortnite killer) gets its highly anticipated season 2 update. In the patch (out today) Respawn’s battle royale game gets a new playable Legend called Wattson. Her tactical ability is called “Perimeter Security” and connects nodes to create electrified fences that damage and slow enemies. Wattson’s passive ability is “Spark of Genius”, which allows her to use ultimate accelerants to fully charge her ultimate ability.

Lastly, for her ultimate ability, Wattson can place an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and repairs damaged shields. She’s clearly a must have on any team, and soon to be a fan favorite.

At the end of the month, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, is releasing for the Nintendo Switch. This will be the first title in the turn-based tactical RPG franchise to be made for the latest console generation. Similar to the four houses in Harry Potter‘s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, the new Fire Emblem lets you choose between three school houses to have your protagonist be in.

Each house has specific storylines, characters, and gameplay that will help shape your experience. As you battle to level up your character, players will also be controlling your own unit, building relationships, and conquering the city of Fódlan. Do you have what it takes to survive and conquer? Fire Emblem: Three Houses is out July 26.

Other notable releases to look out for in July include Stranger Things 3: The GameAttack on Titan 2: Final Battle, Sea of Solitude, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, The Sims 4: Island Living expansion, and more.
