With the term "fake news" seemingly used daily, it seems particularly apropos that HBO has just released a trailer for their forthcoming film, Fahrenheit 451, which is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic 1953 tale, and depicts a dystopian future where the media is an opiate, history is outlawed, and “firemen” burn books.
Starring Michael B. Jordan as Guy Montag, a morally conflicted book burner, the drama escalates as he's forced to reckon with his mentor who is played by Academy Award nominee, Michael Shannon, who believes, "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing,” and that, "we are not born equal, so we must be made equal by the fire."
Fahrenheit 451 will premiere in May on HBO.
