In just a matter of days, Fox will be premiering its new Marvel series, The Gifted. To heighten anticipation surrounding the release, the network has unleashed the first six minutes from the show's debut episode.

The Gifted centers around two parents who discover that their children possess mutant powers. From there, they must go on the run from the government, ultimately joining up with an underground collective of mutants in a fight for survival.

The show stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Percy Hynes White, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Jamie Chung, Natalie Alyn Lind and Garret Dillahunt, as the pilot episode is directed by X-Men film director Bryan Singer.

The Gifted premieres on Fox October 2.
