In his most recent Flashback Friday post, Gucci Mane claimed that before they made it big, he replaced Migos‘ fake chains and paid Offset‘s lawyer in the same day.

The revelation came in a caption that accompanied a video of the 2013 Migos track “Holmes.” Guwop had assisted on the track and recalled the trio’s breakout year with an anecdote about before they fully hit the big time. In the caption, he claimed that both Quavo and Takeoff “threw away the fake chains” after he gifted them with the “2chains off my neck.”

He went on to say that Offset called him “from jail and told me send racks to his lawyer to get him out and I did that the same day.”

Takeoff denied the claims writing: “Das Cap U Kno Dat… But I’m So Blessed We Gon Leave It @ Dat… Thank You.” Gucci, however, insisted it’s a true story, replying, “Boi U Cap You ain’t forgot 💰.”
