According to WWD, rumors are spreading that Hedi Slimane is due to quit Parisian luxury powerhouse Saint Laurent. Insider sources claim that the designer and Saint Laurent's owners Kering Group have not been able to reach an agreement on the renewal of Slimane's contract, leaving his future at the house uncertain.
A Slimane exit would be yet another blow to the Parisian fashion scene, which last year saw both Raf Simons quit Dior and Alber Elbaz leave Lanvin. Given the colossal success Saint Laurent has enjoyed since Slimane took the reins - revenues jumped a whopping 26.6% in 2015 Q3 alone - it'd be a huge shock to see the French designer leave.
WWD also claims that Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello is in line to succeed Slimane, should he depart. Head over to WWD to get the scoop in full.
