What We’re Saying: HOKA ONE ONE’s Clifton series of running shoes — beloved due to their lightweight build and soft cushioning — is getting another update.

The Clifton 8 builds upon a successful running legacy, coming in at 15 percent lighter than its predecessor (which was already known for being one of the lightest running shoes around).

The sneaker’s engineered mesh upper and new midsole add to the lightweight characteristics of the shoe. While built for performance, the Clifton 8 features a relatively subdued design when compared to other HOKA models, which lends itself nicely to the athleisure trend of the past few years. Whether you’re planning on besting your 5k PR or just heading down to the shops in your most comfortable outfit, the Clifton 8 gives you a versatile option in your new summer rotation.

The HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 8 arrives in four colorways — two for men and two for women — and will retail for $130. The shoe is available on June 1, with pre-orders starting on May 15.
