Tech giant HUAWEI is looking for aspiring designers to join their community of certified theme designers. Anyone can join, all you have to do is design 'themes' for its mobile devices to be sold on HUAWEI’s digital art store to more than 100 million users.

In a new video, HUAWEI designers highlight the benefits of the role – you can work from anywhere, link up with other designers, and there are few restrictions on what you can create. Plus, its simple to use, all you have to do is design a theme including backgrounds, screen savers, text styles, icons and more, and use their free tools to upload it to the HUAWEI online store.

As a further incentive, the tech brand is currently giving designers the chance to win up to $20,000, with a total prize pool of $300,000, for their creations in the 2020 HUAWEI Global Theme Design Competition. The competition, which is in its second year, launched last month and is accepting submissions until July 1 with the goal of unearthing and nurturing innovative minds, thereby promoting diversity and innovation within the world of design.

Entering the competition is simple. Head here and register your account. Upload your design in any (or all) of the competition’s three categories: Themes, Wallpapers, and Watch Faces, and then wait for a panel of renowned designers to judge your work. Simple.
