KAWS is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his signature Companion figure by releasing a commemorative iteration. Aptly dubbed Companion 2020, the character has been designed to be displayed face down, and we can't think of anything more fitting for the current year.

Optioned in three colorways of brown, tan, and green; black and yellow; and gray, the Companion features a flattened face and body — again — so it can be properly displayed facing down. This particular version somewhat rivals that of KAWS' Holiday Japan figure, which was also depicted laying down, albeit in a more relaxed position.

In true 2020 fashion, the artist has revealed that "part of the shipment is stuck out at sea," so he is releasing some newly arrived Holiday Space and BFF figures alongside the 2020 Companion. The 20th anniversary work has been made available on kawsone.com, with the remaining pieces launching at some point in the future.
