Based on the design first seen in the classic 1984 animated series, rather than the modernized update with Netflix's Voltron: Legendary Defender, this truly collectible toy is composed of a whopping 2,321 pieces, and the kit is one of the biggest mech-based sets LEGO has ever produced, measuring in at 15 inches tall.

Featuring buildable and highly posable black, blue, yellow, red and green lions with specially designed, extra-strong joints to combine them all and create the Voltron super robot, Voltron's huge sword and shield will also be included, and can attach firmly to the hands.

Priced at $179.99 USD, availability is scheduled for August 1, according to LEGO's website.

In related news, you can now build a LEGO Bugatti Chiron that's almost as awesome as the real deal.
