Levi's
1 / 8

Brand: Levi’s® x AMBUSH®

Release Date: September 16

Key Pieces: It's all about the denim in this drop and the 517 bootcut jeans have managed to do the difficult job of making bell bottoms actually look good.

Buy: Highsnobiety Shop

Editor's Notes: For a lot of people, the mere mention of a Canadian tuxedo (or Texan tuxedo) still brings to mind Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears’ infamous couple’s fit.

Thankfully, AMBUSH is here to restore double denim’s reputation, and it's gone directly to the inventors of denim for help.

Whether it's creating tequila-infused coffee with Starbucks or retro-style sneakers with Nike, the Japanese label has established itself as someone that knows how to do a collaboration and its latest link-up is with Levi's.

For the collab, AMBUSH hasn't taken the quintessential American denim label too far out of its comfort zone by creating a selection of two trucker jackets and jeans which, if the collection's lookbook is to be believed, are made to be worn together.

The pieces on offer which you can mix and match to create a Canadian tuxedo are: an embellished trucker jacket (releasing exclusively via AMBUSH), 517 bootcut jeans, a loose-fit trucker jacket, and a pair of baggy jeans.

Each of these pieces come in a worn-in mid-indigo wash and has an exclusive black logo patch, making them all compatible to be worn together for a full workwear-inspired look that is more Ye and Julia Fox at fashion week than Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears in the early aughts.
