Louis Vuitton is starting 2026 in Labubu mode. The luxury house's Spring/Summer 2026 collection is trickling into stores and amidst the Wes Anderson homages and sumptuous leather bags, there's a decided whiff of... cuteness.

LV's new arrivals include fluffy acorn bag charms, a dangler in the shape of a smiling kitty, and even a $14,000 elephant-shaped trunk appropriately called the Elephantasy, its flesh made especially indulgent by Louis Vuitton's inimitable monogram canvas.

A couple Louis Vuitton accessories are so on the nose that they even have "cute" in the name, like the Cute Cat and Husky charms priced at a slightly less cute $800 apiece. At least the cat has the consideration to also double as AirPods storage.

And that's just a sampling of what LV has in store for 2026, as you can almost certainly expect an amping up of the adorable factor as the year goes on.

Is this luxury gone Labubu? Or just Louis Vuitton being cute? Perhaps both.

The maison has a history of pairing more "serious" fare with seasonal oddities only offered once. (Louis Vuitton burger box, anyone?) And of course, cutesy charms are a well-worn trope by any fashion house's standard, with everyone from Hermès to Saint Laurent plenty capable of turning out a darling little dangler.

But that Louis Vuitton is cute-ing it up so enthusiastically even beyond the above — confetti bracelets! Deer cardholders! — does speak to at least some awareness of culture's bottomless hunger for collectibles of the charming sort. Even the Spring/Summer 2026 LV men's Darjeeling Limited capsule, with its animal-print-everything approach to graphic design, reflects the cute-ification of quintessentially high-end goods.

True cuteness was always rare. In the hands of Louis Vuitton, it just happens to also be a luxury.
