The watch world’s ex-slimmest luxury timepiece just got a makeover at the hands of MAD Paris. If an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak wasn’t luxurious or exclusive enough for you already, MAD Paris just upped the stakes considerably. The Royal Oak’s iconic octagonal stainless steel 41mm case and bracelet are reworked with an engraved floral pattern that elevates the minimal watch without losing the restrained sophistication that made the design an all-time great.

Using second-hand luxury watches as its basis, MAD Paris gives high-end timepieces new life with unique customizations. From embedded diamonds to engraved patterns and redesigned faces, the MAD Paris collection features some pretty eye-catching designs — from Rolex to Audemars Piguet and Patek Phillipe — all underpinned by the high quality of the starting models and a desire to update with respect.

The Audemars Piguet Grand Fleur Royal Oak, then, perfectly embodies MAD Paris’ approach to watch customization. From a distance, the naked eye would barely be able to make out the updated construction, but look closer and you’ll catch glimpses of the tonal engravings which adorn the case. Silver-tone hands and dial markings are also added standing out against the black, tapisserie-patterned face.
