With successful shows in languages other than English like Narcos (Spanish), 3% (Brazilian Portuguese) and Fauda (Hebrew/Arabic), Netflix hopes its first foray into German, Dark, continues the service's upward ascent in the international marketplace.
The 10-part mystery seems to be cut from a similar supernatural cloth as Stranger Things - detailing the present-day disappearance of two young children - which exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families that all seems to stem from something terrible that happened in 1986.
Dark will launch globally on Netflix on December 1.
