Photographs have emerged from both Los Angeles and New York City which suggests that the streaming wars are officially on — with monochromatic billboards stating bluntly, "Netflix is a joke."

However, Variety has learned that it is in fact Netflix themselves who have spearheaded the viral ploy in an effort to increase exposure for their murderer's row of comedy content featuring Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan, and a new special from Jerry Seinfeld.

The campaign is expected to expand in the coming days and be supported by video content from the aforementioned comedians.
