A classic grey New Balance dad shoe is always a good thing. But a grey denim New Balance sneaker is even better.

New Balance essentially takes its 1906U, or 1906 Utility, for a denim spin, cooking up one of the nicest versions of the sneaker yet.

The 1906U is already this more rugged rendition of the 1906R, featuring small tweaks throughout but still maintaining that overall techy Y2K energy. Adding denim to the mix was just pure, well, jean-ius.

Really, the New Balance 1906U is exploding with textures. There are smooth suede, mesh, and leather layers across the upper, while crisp denim brings main character energy to the underlays. And it's all splashed with classic shades of New Balance Grey.

The Boston sneaker brand continues to show lots of love to its 1906 models this season, whether that be fresh flavors for its divisive loafer or trail-style takes on the classic dad shoe.

Now, it's out here putting the model in exquisite technical denim jackets.

Speaking of which, New Balance's denim 1906U sneaker is scheduled to release on April 7 on Billy's website for about $130.
