Model: Air Max 98 “Gundam”
Key Features: Multi-patterned, leather and synthetic upper, a midsole with a visible full-length Max Air Unit, 3M black piping trim and signature Air Max branding on the tongue and heel areas.
The “Gundam” colorway arrives in a primarily white, blue, and red colorway reminiscent of the RX-78-2 from the popular Gundam sci-fi series.
A second version is dropping the same day, officially dubbed “Fearless 90s,” which features a white upper with yellow, navy, and gray detailing.

Editor’s Notes: With the Air Max 98’s 20th anniversary approaching, Nike is relaunching the silhouette in the classic “Gundam” colorway. Might these prove as successful as last year’s revitalized Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”? Don’t bet against it.
