Brand: Nike

Model: Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%

Key Features: Building on the success of the ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%, Nike has outfitted the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% with two new Nike Zoom Air pods, more ZoomX foam, and a single carbon fiber plate, all of which are updates from the sneaker's predecessor. The Alphafly NEXT% also boasts an ultra-breathable and lightweight Flyknit upper, aiding in running economy.

Release Date: Summer 2020

Price: Presumably $250 like the original Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% colorway

Buy: Nike.com

Editor’s Notes: Following the recent global release of the debut colorway, Nike is looking ahead to the next drop of its almost-banned Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%, the sneaker Eliud Kipchoge wore to run a record-setting sub two-hour marathon. The shoe was nearly banned from official competition as some argued it gave athletes an unfair advantage.

Nike has yet to announce a specific release date for the gradient Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%, although the brand has revealed it will arrive this summer. Expect a retail price of $250, coinciding with the first colorway.
