For the past 18 months, Nike's running division has been looking to the stars, searching for inspiration for the Swoosh's latest silhouette. The Lunar Epic Flyknit is Nike's latest step forward, taking inspiration from the Magista football boot while advancing the brand's Lunar tech.

The sneaker's Flyknit ankle collar emphasizes a snug fit, promoting natural movement through the foot, ankle and lower leg. For the midsole, Nike brings back it's highly favored Lunar tech with a new twist, applying laser-cut grooves that allows the shoe to bounce back with every step, while the sole itself is fused to the upper with heat rather than glue.

Nike's Lunar Epic Flyknit will land in a range of colorways on March 3 at retail locations and, while the murdered-out colorway above is set to arrive at NikeLab locations only.
