If you’re like us, you’ve been awaiting the return of Nike‘s Shox sneakers for quite some time. And in case you hadn’t gotten wind, the comeback is on, as the Swoosh presents the all-new Shox Gravity.
Nike’s leading design team started from scratch when creating the Shox Gravity, beginning with a concept back in March. An undeniably quick turnaround, the process accounts for one of the company’s fastest-ever deliverables.
Aaron Cooper, who worked on the Shox BB4, shared, “We cannot overstate how much our experience helped speed up the process. We were able to make educated decisions based on digital or two-dimensional information that were able to push us a lot more quickly.”
Runner feedback was pivotal while designing the Shox Gravity, which is as much about feeling as it is aesthetic. Per Greg Thompson, “We’ve created an amazing underfoot experience combined with great fit and containment in the upper. It definitely provides a more well-rounded experience than any of the previous models.”
A widespread retail drop for Nike’s all-new Shox Gravity is slated for early next year. Expect a flurry of colorways to follow.
