To kick off their "NYC Is Green" content series, Mercedes-Benz EQ has linked with arts-focused media production company Created Here. The stars of these videos are three sustainability-focused New York City changemakers looking to impact their home city – and the world – through available technology, their own creative drive, and their sense of purpose. For the first edition, Mercedes is featuring Zaria Forman, an NYC-based visual artist whose depictions of ice look to raise awareness of the planet's changing landscape.

Made with pastel and exhibited in places like Bansky's Dismaland, Zaria's paintings depict the icy landscapes of remote regions like Antartica, Greenland, and Arctic Canada, all of which Zaria has traveled to with the likes of NASA and National Geographic. Using modern technology and her eye for photorealism, Zaria's paintings use as much detail as possible to draw her audience in and motivate them to take action themselves. Check out the full video above to see Zaria's icy works, trips to remote locales, and more.

Next, check out watch NYC developers convert a historic underground terminal into a public park or meet the designer putting rooftop gardens on cars in NYC.
