Editor's Notes: When we first got introduced to Salomon x PAS Normal Studios (PNS) through a pair of zip-up alpine boots at the start of the year, we were promised that Spring 2023 would see the second part of their collaboration launch.

And now, merely weeks into the spring, the Danish high-end cycling brand and French outdoor-wear label have already blessed us with round two of their collab — finding common ground in their penchant for technical fabrics and functional designs.

As Karl-Oskar Olsen, co-founder and creative director of Pas Normal Studios, said of the last collection, the two brands are focused on “combining our lives on and off the bike, between city and nature, commuting, urban exploring and recovery after training and racing. We want to merge the advanced functionality of Salomon with our subtle and minimalistic approach to design.”

The two brand's latest shoe, the RX-SNUG, is focused specifically on recovery, being cited as the perfect shoe to wear for a post-cycling rest by the brands. To go along with its EVA midsole, PNS has added a soft ripstop and textured knit fabric to the upper for added comfort.

Plus, like in the first collab, it's not just a pair of sneakers dropping. Alongside the RX-SNUG is the XT 20 backpack with 20 liters of storage space and technical fabrics designed for both hiking and biking.

Salomon's enjoying a busy start to 2023, from its XT-6 reaching its 10-year anniversary to the ACS Pro continuing to prove its popularity; and then there are collabs with Atmos, DSM, The Broken Arm, and now two PNS link-ups.

Gorpcore's far from dead, and Salomon's busy keeping itself at the forefront of things.
