Every six months, Pitti Uomo brings together the most influential names in men’s fashion for a three-day tradeshow in Florence’s Fortezza da Basso. In anticipation of Fall/Winter 2019’s fair, which takes place from January 7 to 10, 2020, Pitti Immagine has released a short video announcing the theme of this year’s presentations: flags.

Flags might be a contentious topic in certain scenarios, but at their core, they symbolize unity, identity, and belonging. As a tradeshow that brings together a wide array of international brands under one roof, flags were chosen as the theme to reflect the individuality of each brand present. The mood video, which is directed by the tradeshow’s co-curator Angelo Figus, captures this sentiment by depicting a dapperly dressed man proudly waving a Pitti Uomo flag in the clearing of a forest.

The full list of exhibitors has yet to be announced, but confirmed so far are guest designers Lucie and Luke Meier, the creative co-directors of Jil Sander, and special guests Random Identities and Telfar.

Stay up-to-date with Pitti Uomo by following them on Instagram at @pittimmagine or head to pittimmagine.com to buy tickets to the event.
