What We’re Saying: New Balance has been steadily increasing its footprint in the footballing world, signing players such as Sadio Mané and Raheem Sterling to its ever-expanding roster of talent. On the club side, New Balance has now partnered with FC Porto, a longtime partner of the brand, to design a special-edition version of the brand’s 997 sneaker.

The FC Porto x New Balance 997H features the Portuguese club’s famous blue and white color scheme on the upper, with hints of brown and gray. The result is a stylish colorway that doesn’t immediately scream “this is a football collab,” which is a good thing. FC Porto branding is seen on the tongue tag, as well as on the insole of the sneaker.

For those looking to add something different to their rotation, this football-inspired 997 drops on July 10 via New Balance’s channels.
