Editor’s Notes: Prada and adidas Originals announce the second Prada Superstar drop today. The long-awaited sequel to the original release from late last year comprises three colorways: all-black, the classic white and black, and a chrome silver with white detailing. The latter is a move away from the more traditional and timeless designs and a look towards the future.

This time around, the Prada Superstar will be sold individually, without the addition of the Prada bowling bag, as was the case with the first release. The Prada Superstar will be available at Prada, adidas, and at select retailers on September 8.

In addition to announcing this drop, Prada and adidas have hinted towards the next chapter in their ongoing partnership. The announcement reveals that the next drop will be linked to the America’s Cup, the premier sailing competition in the world, and one with which Prada has a long and deep history, having founded the Luna Rossa sailing team in 1997. Stay tuned for more information.
