Ahead of the 37th America’s Cup, the Italian challenger had a new piece of tech on its side: the specially made Luna Rossa e-Bike.

Produced for the team as they trained for the acclaimed sailing competition — the oldest international competition still operating in any sport — the bike is decked out with a gray base featuring branding in Prada and Pirelli’s signature red and yellow hues, matching the team’s uniforms.

Naturally, co-title sponsor Pirelli supplied the bike’s tires (utilizing its gravel-specific Cinturato Gravel H 35-622 model). Other technical specs include a 250W power motor that achieves a 25 km/h maximum speed, and each bike weighs only an approximate 17kg.

Less than a hundred bikes were made and given out to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team; however, a limited number are available exclusively at the Highsnobiety Flagship store in Berlin, retailing at €2,500.

Over the years, the Luna Rossa crew has showcased iconic pieces that have revolutionized the technical clothing market, such as the legendary Prada America's Cup sneakers, first designed in 1997 for the sailing team to increase their capabilities, and soon becoming a timeless style for the brand. Since then, with every edition of the America's Cup, the team features innovations that soon become highly coveted items. The 2024 edition in Barcelona is no exception, with the new and fast Luna Rossa e-bike.

The bike is available now from the Highsnobiety Flagship Store on Unter den Linden 40, Berlin.
