HODINKEE

Ah, HODINKEE. Few possess the understanding, appreciation, and dedication to horology as HODINKEE does, nor the extensive armament of watches its shop possesses.

It's one thing to stock products online, but to combine this with a hive of knowledge surrounding releases new and old, the craft, community, which triples up as a hosting ground for your own collaborations with the industry's leading brands? That takes excellence.

The strength of HODINKEE's community and the trust it bestows upon the platform is no accident, for its continued engagement is as much about world-building as it is the sharing and sale of products, yet it's this shared passion that ensures it thrives.

Discussing the best of vintage watches, modern builds, upcoming releases, and the like will, naturally, conjure returning names, each valued for a variety of reasons. Timex, for example, possesses a history not far off two centuries long; and in that time, it's continued to impress with its quality.

As a valued, historic brand, Timex has become a frequent feature of the HODINKEE site and community; and, as such, has become one of its favored collaborators.

Back in 2020, the pair came together to introduce the first HODINKEE-designed Q Timex, inspired by the original 1979 quartz watch. A testament to HODINKEE's love of horology and its long history, the collaboration was product first but also a history lesson.

For their follow-up, the duo launched the Q Timex Vintage HODINKEE Limited Edition, an ode to the aesthetics of pre-quartz era watches. A masterclass in vintage style, the watch features a pie-pan dial, cross-hair pattern, and expansion bracelet.

Limited to 2500 pieces, the Q Timex Vintage HODINKEE Limited Edition, which is available online now, feels fresh out of the 50s and 60s without sacrificing the ability to be a beautiful contemporary.
