Converse's Got Its Own Chuck Taylor "Moon Boots"
Converse Japan has another boot banger on its hands — or feet, I should probably say. The brand, along with Japanese fashion label Spick and Span, has designed an all-new Chuck Taylor puffer boot that also feels a little familiar.
Spick and Span's Converse collaboration involves the Converse Converse All-Star Light PLTS Metallic Boots (try saying that fast three times). Puffer uppers infused with cushy foam meet the thick, platformed soles borrowed from the classic Chuck Taylor sneaker. The results? A puff-tastic All-Star sneaker-boot.
Or even better, a sort of Chuck Taylor "Moon Boot."
Converse boots instantly gave me feels of the iconic ski boot beloved by Rihanna and Dua Lipa (just minus the straps and, well, Moon Boot branding). Really, Converse's shoe looks like any normal snow boot gone All-Star. It even comes with the weather-ready protection of a classic cold-weather stepper (thank you, water-repellent uppers).
Converse's metallic boots advances the brand's immaculate streak of boot efforts. The international line continues to dish out these clever takes, blessing Japan with UGG-flavored cowboy boots and military-grade stompers. There were also those chunky All-Star boots that oozed Bottega vibes.
But for those looking for Spick and Span's Converse "Moon Boots," the collaboration is now available at Converse Japan in nice silver and black colorways.
These days, you can almost always count on Converse Japan also for a rootin'-bootin good time.
