Stone Island has been dropping serious heat already this year, but its latest iteration of the popular Ice Jacket takes things to a new level. This thermosensitive leather jacket is made with ECCO leather featuring micro-encapsulated pigment molecules that darken the coat's coloring in cold temperatures, making it an instant winter grail.
Somewhat reminiscent of the dope pieces from its FW17 Supreme collaboration, the new jacket is also equipped with Stone Island's Dyneema Project tech and comes with a super freeze-proof detachable down lining. The signature heat-sensitive capabilities on the jacket's coating is the first application of the technology to a leather garment from Massimo Osti's outerwear brand.
With a retail cost of $5,210 CAD (approx $3,998 U.S.), the jacket joins those from Heron Preston, UNDERCOVER, and Craig Green in the aspirational winter coat stakes, now available at select retailers such as Slam Jam Socialism, Browns, Haven, and Stone Island's web store. Take a closer look at the statement piece below, and click through to be raising temperatures on the streets all winter.
