SUNCORE

SUNCORE's Fall/Winter 2021 footwear collection might be the first time you see a "Spider Web Bug," and don't try to swat it away. No guarantees, though.

If we based our opinions on sneaker silhouettes on names, SUNCORE might be the greatest footwear brand in the world. Sure, Air Max, Fury Ace, and Ultra Boost sound pretty cool, but Mountain Base and Spider Web Light ring a little... different

All jokes aside, Japanese footwear brand SUNCORE takes its name for the energy that drives the planet and sees sneakers as a parallel. In its own words: "We thought that the shoes which support our feet can be the core of driving force for energy."

Given the brand's outlook, it's no surprise that it has a shoe for every scenario. Different settings require different energy levels and differing levels of support, and the Fall/Winter 2021 collection is equipped to tackle them all.

For all of the clog and mule lovers out there, there are new contenders on the block. The collection offers the Field Recovery Light and Grog Slip Light, which tackle the slipper trend with a dystopia-ready aesthetic. While the Grog is akin to traditional styles like the Birkenstock Boston, the Field Recovery Light is tooled for outdoor adventure thanks to its toggle lace system and bulky sole unit.

If you're looking for something to replace your Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukkas or Visvim Lhamo Folks, the Twist Chukka Light is for you. Characterized by its asymmetrical build, leather base, and exaggerated sole, this shape is a striking, modern take on a classic.

Each of the collection's 12 silhouettes comes in three muted color options; "Black," "Beige," and "Ivory," allowing the unorthodox soles and functional details to speak for themselves.
