While there have been rumors circulating suggesting that Liam Neeson will no longer be playing the badass in any new action movies, The Commuter once again finds the famed actor tapping into his combatant tendencies. Neeson in turn stars as an insurance salesman, Michael, in Jaume Collet-Serra's upcoming action-thriller.

Michael takes the same train to and from work each day, but on this particular occasion, things are a bit different. Upon meeting a mysterious stranger (played by Vera Farmiga), Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the final stop. As he begins to work the life-threatening puzzle, Michael realizes he is now caught up in a criminal conspiracy, one that could mean death for himself, his wife and fellow passengers.

Patrick Wilson, Sam Neill and Elizabeth McGovern star alongside Neeson and Farmiga in The Commuter, due in theaters January 12, 2018.
