The Purge film series will be receiving its fourth film, as it's noted to be a prequel set during the very first Purge Night, aptly titled The First Purge, reports The A.V. Club.
Set in a fictional near-future America in which a government group known as the New Founding Fathers established a yearly event called Purge Night, where all crimes are permitted for one night per year, this prequel is being directed by Gerard McMurray and penned by original series writer-director James DeMonaco.
Additionally, a poster that references to Donald Trump's signature "Make America Great Again" baseball caps was produced to further promote the upcoming film.
The First Purge is set to hit theaters on Wednesday, July 4.
