Tom Hardy took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes image from upcoming Al Capone biopic, Fonzo.

Directed by Josh Trank (who also shot Fantastic Four), the film takes a slightly darker angle than most gangster films, following a 47-year-old Al Capone who has already spent 10 years in prison.

Tom Hardy, best known for his roles in Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Dunkirk, plays Capone, who in the film is suffering from dementia and experiencing flashbacks from his violent past.

While this doesn't look like a final image from the set (we presume Hardy's tattoos will be covered up), the first glimpse of Hardy's transformation into the notorious gangster is definitely getting us excited for the film.

Fonzo currently has no release date, but check back for updates as they come in.
