Regular leather Vans sneakers are good. But patent leather skate shoes? They're squeaky-clean.

Vans gives the classic Old Skool model the candied treatment, elevating the skate sneaker with luxe patent leather and tasteful colorblocking.

The results are two slick takes, offered in blue and burgundy colorways. To be quite honest, they look like candy... that you can skate in.

Even when dressed up like a Chanel bag or wearing distressed denim jeans, the Old Skool is still very much skate-ready, just extra stylish. No matter the makeover, the brand tends to preserves its most classic details, like the thick, cushy soles finished with the famously grippy Waffle traction.

Expect the same for the glazed versions, too.
