It’s been 20 years since Larry Clark’s searing portrait of randy youth in Kids shocked audiences worldwide. We’ve already delved into the archives of the art-house classic through The New York Times’ before-and-after piece and in an effort to extend the anniversary celebrations, Dazed has released an interactive article looking at the secret history of how Kids came to be. Annotated by key members of the movie’s cast and crew including Harmony Korine, Chloë Sevigny and Larry Clark, the article looks at how Justin pissed off the director by getting arrested, the search for the legless guy in the subway scene, and an S&M scene that didn’t make the final cut.
