In the latest surrounding the ever-evolving social media platforms, Facebook has today launched a new feature dubbed Instant Video. The update in turn allows you to video chat with your friends.

The move comes as now more than ever we're continually able to share what we're doing in real time, in large part thanks to apps like Instagram and Snapchat, all utilizing the video camera on our smartphones.

To take advantage of Instant Video, you'll of course need to make sure that you have the latest version of Messenger on your device. Then simply tap the video icon in a particular message thread, and boom, you're instantly connected with your friend. You can then turn the sound on or off to your liking, and if you're really into what your sharing, you can post the video to your timeline.
