The 74th edition of the Golden Globe Awards took place in the lavish surroundings of Beverly Hills last night and, for the first time in its history, the event was kicked off by an SNL-inspired, cold open introduction.

Anchored by host Jimmy Fallon, the four-minute extravaganza sees television's A-list — including cast members from Stranger Things, Mr. Robot, Game of Thrones, and Westworld — mixing it up with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. After the chaotic opening, Jimmy then attempts to bring some calm to the proceedings with a somber parody of the La La Land tune "City of Stars," only to have his attention stolen firstly by a fresh-breathed Ryan Reynolds, and then a resplendent Justin Timberlake. It's safe to say that the musical's star, Ryan Gosling, is nonplussed by the host's efforts.

Watch the hilarious footage above, and then check out Donald Glover giving props to Migos's monster hit "Bad and Boujee" at the ceremony here.
