It comes as little surprise that Disney is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming live-action remake of classic musical Beauty and the Beast; it's a tale as old as time. But in addition to the huge ensemble cast, led by Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, news just broke that the film is getting a little musical star power, too. Ariana Grande and John Legend will be singing the title song.
The original animated film contained two versions of the title song, one sung by Angela Lansbury (as Mrs. Potts the anthropomorphic tea pot) and another played during the end credits sung in duet form by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. That version is deliciously cringe-worthy, and you can revisit it below for your viewing pleasure.
It seems safe to assume that the production for the upcoming ballad sung by Grande and Legend will receive the same shiny new coat as the rest of the film, but then again, it could be pretty great for them to change absolutely no part of the early '90s ballad.
Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters on March 17. Watch the official trailer for it below.
In other music news, the lineup for Bonaroo has just been announced. Predictably, it is insane, and includes The Weeknd, Lorde, Chance the Rapper, and more. See the full lineup right here.
