Swiss-based upstart company Make & Play introduce Makerball, a custom pinball machine that you can create all on your own.
Designed for private use, bars, universities, co-working spaces and creative studios — the DIY pinball machine is essentially comprised of wood and works with simple, reliable mechanics that are easy to understand. With the base only provided, the rest of the pinball’s design is entirely up to your liking, as you can expand, change and decorate it.
You also have the option of upgrading Makerball digitally with a microcontroller and downloading the free Make & Play score app on your smartphone allows you to play for points as well. Furthermore, depending on your DIY skills, it only takes around 30 to 60 minutes to assemble.
If you’re interested, the kit is currently available through Kickstarter.
