Johnny Knoxville is set to star in an upcoming comedy that is pretty much Jackass but scripted with dialogue. In Action Point we find the Bad Grandpa actor playing D.C., the owner of a rundown amusement park where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun.

The story picks up as D.C.'s estranged daughter pays him a visit to ultimately enjoy the park. But when a corporate competitor opens nearby, Action Point and its future are in jeopardy. From there, D.C. must call on his band of misfits to upgrade the park or his relationship with his daughter is ruined.

Alongside Knoxville, Action Point stars Chris Pontius, Dan Bakkedahl, Matt Schulze, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Johnny Pemberton, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Joshua Hoover, Conner McVicker, and Eric Manaka. The film is due in theaters June 1.

In other movie news, Netflix has shared the first trailer for its upcoming sci-fi thriller 'The Titan,' starring Sam Worthington.
