Sneakerheads are bombarded with news of upcoming releases on a daily basis. To save you some time from searching each and every site and leak account, we've taken it upon ourselves to sift through the onslaught and bring you a few noteworthy kicks that have captured our attention.

Today, we've learned that Nike is bringing back the prized Air Jordan 1 "Metallic" pack, as official images of a forthcoming "Court Purple" rendition have surfaced. The colorway isn't identical to the original "Metallic Purple" pair, but it's damn near close.

Elsewhere, New Balance has debuted a new multi-sneaker capsule in celebration of Black History Month, while ASICS has revitalized one of its early 2000s runners. On to the collaborative side of things, Danish brand Wood Wood and FILA have cooked up a new minimalist treat. And to close out this round of sneaker news, Nike is prepping the release of yet another new Dunk colorway.

Read on to get the latest info about the “Court Purple” Air Jordan 1 and more.

Air Jordan 1 High OG “Court Purple”

Release Date: June 3

Where to Buy: TBC

Editor’s Notes: Nike appears to be bringing back the beloved metallic colorways of the Air Jordan 1. Pointing to the "Metallic Purple" iteration from the coveted "Metallic" pack, this upcoming take on the AJ 1 finds shiny purple accents decorating a white leather upper. Unlike the original metallic offerings, the "Court Purple" pair opts for padded cotton lining instead of the satin-like material from colorways past. The new 1s are confirmed to release in women's ($170), pre-school, and toddler sizing on June 3.

The capsule, officially called "My Story Matters," is led by the 990 and 574, each of which emerges with vibrant purple detailing inspired by the robes worn by gospel choirs. The gallery above showcases New Balance brand ambassadors Jaden Smith and tennis star Coco Gauff donning styles from the BHM collection. The 990 is due to release first on February 15 for $180, followed by the 574 later on in February for $90.

ASICS GEL-PRELEUS

Release Date: Available now

Where to Buy: ASICS.com and select retailers

Editor’s Notes: ASICS' 2001 runner, the GEL-PRELEUS, has become more of a lifestyle option since its inception. This month, the brand has released a string of new colorways of the one-time performance model, which features a cloud-inspired upper. Down below, the wavy lines of the GEL-PRELEUS' midsole and outsole draw from the free-flowing movement of an amoeba. Back to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the ASICS GEL-PRELEUS is currently up for grabs for $100.

Wood Wood x FILA Town

Editor’s Notes: Danish streetwear brand Wood Wood has teamed up with FILA to release an undeniably clean colorway of the Town. Editor’s Notes: We know what you're thinking. More Dunks? Yes, but this time around, Nike is focusing on the women with a new exclusive colorway. The "Team Red" Dunk High features a cream-colored leather upper with burgundy overlays, a sail midsole, and a red rubber outsole. The customary Swoosh logo is present on the side, while additional branding appears on the tongue and insoles.
