American Apparel was poised to make a comeback last year after being bought out by Canadian T-shirt and underwear maker Gildan in 2016, following the company filing for bankruptcy due to a decline in sales.

For SS18, the fashion retailer is officially back in business, as it has finally launched its “Back to Basics” campaign, which focuses on staple silhouettes. In addition, the brand’s new approach emphasizes body positivity, inclusiveness, and diversity, as the campaign stars a diverse range of models that were cast through American Apparel’s social media channels.

Highlighting matching tracksuits, a variety of denim tops and bottoms for women, swimwear, underwear, form-fitting dresses/pants and dress shirts, the brand will also offer its favorite essentials like color block T-shirts, hoodies, fisherman pullovers, and more.
