The creepy Annabelle doll from The Conjuring films is getting its own origin story, titled Annabelle: Creation, and you can watch the first trailer right now.

Directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out), Annabelle: Creation shows how the real life Annabelle died in a tragic car crash before returning to her parents as a ghost. Only when her parents allow her to move into a doll, things take an evil twist.

Several years later, he and his wife take in a nun and a group of girls, who soon find out about the terrifying demon living within the house.

The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto. Watch the trailer above.

Annabelle: Creation opens in theaters on August 11.

In other movie news, this incredible real-life Iron Man suit actually flies.
