The 17-year-old singer was named Global Artist of the Year, and split the Songwriter of the Year title with her brother, Finneas. Breakthrough Artist of the Year was awarded to Lizzo. Each of these awards were hand-selected by Apple Music’s global editorial team.

Meanwhile, the awards for Album of the Year (WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by Billie Eilish) and Song of the Year (Lil Nas X for "Old Town Road") were awarded according to streaming data based on what Apple Music customers have been listening to in the last year.
