After being held in jail for nearly a month, A$AP Rocky's court case in Stockholm, Sweden is nearing a close. The rapper will, however, have to wait a bit longer to find out the verdict in the case of the alleged assault that was first reported by Swedish press on June 30. He has been released from custody while he awaits the judges ruling, which will be announced August 14.

Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, has been in jail since July 3, along with two members of his entourage, on charges of aggravated assault. He pleaded not guilty to accusations from alleged victim Mustafa Jafari. Over the last few days, the events leading up to and during the confrontation, which occurred while Rocky was on the road for his Injured Generation tour, have been dissected and evaluated in court. You can listen to Rocky's testimony in his own words here.

This has easily been one of the most publicized criminal cases in recent memory, with celebrities such as Tyler, the Creator and Kanye West, and even President Donald Trump, standing up to ask for Rocky's freedom. The president went an extra step by sending a hostage affairs envoy to Stockholm on his behalf.

If you've missed out on the events of what lead up to today's verdict, you can revisit our live court feed here in collaboration with DOPEST.se. Then check out our complete timeline of everything that happened from June 30 onwards.
