2017 was the year of the Balenciaga Triple S, and while the hype for that sneaker is still riding high, the namesake brand of Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga looks to be readying the release of a brand new silhouette.

The shoe, which surfaced on notorious leaker accounts such as Yeezy Mafia, looks to be more of a technical, chunky running silhouette that reminds slightly of old school Mizuno sneakers, with some early 2000s skate footwear influences mixed in.

Featuring what looks to be a cage construction around the heel and sides of the shoe which is also integrated with the lacing system, there is, much like on the Triple S, a lot going on on the upper. The midsole is a predictably chunky affair, with pops of color and Balenciaga branding on the outsole.

Thus far, the silhouette has surfaced in two colorways, the gray/orange getup above and the yellow/blue/silver color blocking below. Judging by the Instagram posts these are set to release some time this year.
